Unheard Voices: Stories of Strength and Struggle

Purpose: This is a TCU event, in collaboration with The Arc of DFW Area, to support advocacy and empowerment efforts in the DFW area.

What to Expect: Participants will spend 1-2 hours in an interview session with two TCU students. During this time participants will be asked to share their personal stories of trials and triumphs while living with a disability in Texas. Potential interview questions will be provided upon registration before the event.

Sessions will be recorded and lightly edited after the event. Participants will be provided a copy of the final video before it is used for advocacy and educational efforts. Participants will also be asked to complete a permission form to share the video.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided and an exhibitor fair of local disability service organizations will also be on site.

When: April 13th, 10 am-5 pm (only 1-2 hours are expected per participant)
